The THXHC-02 is a cleaning tape by Quantum. However, unlike the BHXHC-02 which is only compatible with DLT-VS tape drives and auto-libraries, the THXHC-02 is compatible with DLT 2000, DLT 2000XT, DLT 4000, DLT 7000 and DLT 8000 line of tape drives. Because the THXHC-02 is made by Quantum (the owner of the DLT tape format), people often assume that their product would be superior or more compatible however, DLT products have to qualify to bear the DLT logo, so they have the same standard anyway. In fact as some companies, particularly HP, have a higher standard for reliability and compatibility than the industry in general their products are likely to be better. However that does not imply that the Quantum THXHC-02 is deficient in any way. The THXHC-02 can be used for at least 20 cleaning cycles.
