Released in the year 2003, the SLR140 has a 70 GB native capacity and a 140 GB compressed capacity (2:1 ratio). On a tape length of approximately 506m, the SLR140 tape delivers a transfer rate of 6 MB/s. So far the SLR140 tape cartridge is only compatible with the SLR 140 tape drive, however SLR 200 has been announced but the release date is as of yet still a mystery.
