Key Features for Sony AIT-2 Data Cartridge 50/130 GB SDX2-50W
The SDX2-50W is an AIT-2 tape by Sony that has a tape length of 230m and has a capacity of 50 GB native and 130 GB compressed. This SDX2-50W has an R-MIC of 64K that enables uses to search and find required finds far more quickly than on those tapes without MIC. The Sony SDX2-50W is compatible with AIT-2 (read/write), AIT-3 (read/write) and AIT-3Ex (only read) tape drives and autoloaders. This is W.O.R.M (Write Once Read Many) tape media which means that only additions maybe made to the initial data but it does not support changing the original data in any way.
