Key Features for HP SDLT-II Data Cartridge 300/600 GB Q2020A
The HP Q2020A is an SDLT-2 tape cartridge that has a 300 GB native and 600 GB compressed capacity. Transfer rates for the SDLT-2 Q2020A range from 36 MB/s native and 72 MB/s compressed. Like all other SDLT II tape media the Q2020A is compatible with SDLT 220 and SDLT 320 in read mode and with SDLT 600 tape drives in read and write mode. The HP Q2020A is also, according to the HP site, read-backwards compatible with DLTtape drives. The HP Q2020A uses S-PET tape formulation which results in a reduction in the overall thickness allowing the overall tape length and therefore the capacity of the Q2020A tape cartridge to be increased.
