The MRSAMCL01 is Quantum’s SDLT-1 tape cartridge. Seeing as Quantum is the owner of the DLT and SDLT format therefore one would expect that out of all the available options Quantum’s SDLT tape would be best however this is not completely true. This is because other manufacturers have to qualify their products to bear the DLT or SDLT; signifying that they are valid DLT or SDLT media. This means that other manufacturers have the same standard for their SDLT tape, just like the Quantum MRSAMCL01. The Quantum MRSAMCL01 has a 160 GB native and 320 GB compressed data like all other SDLT-1 tape cartridges. The MRSAMCL01 has 16 MB/s native and 32 MB/s compressed transfer rate. The MRSAMCL01 is compatible with SDLT 220 and SDLT 320 tape drives. The compatibility for the MRSAMCL01 also extends to SDLT 600 drives in read-only mode.
