In terms of tape media, we provide cleaning tapes for use with DLT III, DLT and DLT IV tapes. Use DLT cleaning tapes as necessary or when the Use Cleaning Tape lamp of the drive is lit, or when a cleaning message appears during the use of backup software. The use of cleaning tapes frequently is not necessary as most DLT drives feature a self-cleaning mechanism.
