The Sony DLT-IV DL4TK88 tape can store up to 40 GB of uncompressed data and 80 GB of compressed data. This Sony DL4TK88 can support data transfer up to 6 MB/s native and 12 MB/s of compressed data. The DL4TK88 are compatible with the DLT 4000, DLT 7000, DLT 8000 and DLT 1 or DLT-VS80 tape drives and autoloaders. They have a 30 years archival life and are expected to last for a minimum of a 1,000,000 passes. This Sony DLT-IV DL4TK88 use PRML (Partial Response Maximum Likelihood) coding channel and have a tape of length 557 meters. Sony’s rugged polycarbonate shell drop-testing means that the DL4TK88 DLT-IV tape cartridge has a high strength shell that is capable of withstanding impacts, etc.
