These Sony DGD-120P DDS-2 4mm tape cartridges are compatible with DDS-2, DDS-3 and DDS-4 tape drives. Each of these DGD-120P tape cartridges can store up to 8 GB of compressed data and 4 GB of native data on a 120m length tape. These DGD-120P tapes work using the helical scan technology and use HESA (High Energy Stabilized Alloy) technology as the tape formulation. HESA is a metal particle technology with improved crystal structure and corrosion resistance which assures lower error counts and higher archival stability. Therefore these Sony DGD-120P DDS-2 tapes can last for a minimum of 1000 passes.
