The TDK LTO-2 Ultrium D2405 tape has a capacity of 200 GB native and 400 GB compressed. This is mainly done by increasing the number of data tracks from 384 to 512 on the D2405 tape. One of the most important features of the TDK D2405 is that it uses TDK’s Super Finavinx material. This tape material is tried and tested and is extremely reliable, delivering on the promised minimum of at least 25000 loads and/or unloads for the TDK D2405 tape. The TDK D2405 has an applicable transfer rate of 40 MB/s native and 80 MB/s compressed. This LTO-2 tape cartridge by TDK is fully compatible with both LTO-2 and LTO-3 tape drives and auto-libraries in both read and write mode.
