The Hp C5142A cleaning cartridge is made for use with tape drives and autoloaders that use DLT III, DLT III-XT and DLT IV tape media. The C5142A is good for at least 20 cleanings and then you will have to use a new one. Attempting to use used cleaning cartridges (for example a C5142A cleaning tape after it has been used for 20 cleaning cycles) may damage your tape drive and is not recommended.
