The 95359 is a HD-DVD (High Density – Digital Versatile Disc) by Verbatim. The Verbatim 95359 has a capacity of 15 GB. As compared to common DVDs which use a red laser, HD-DVDs such as the 95359 utilize a Blue-ray (like Blu-ray Discs) to read and write data. This means that with the shorter wavelength (405 nm) a larger capacity may be obtained. Hence common DVDs have a capacity of around 5 GB whereas HD-DVDs (such as the Verbatim 95359) have a capacity of 15 GB, 3 times as much. HD-DVDs can also be used with standard DVD players, however standard DVD players will only be able to play the standard definition content on an HD-DVD like the 95359.
