The Imation 43836 is like the Imation 43832 tape cartridge in all but one feature, that is, the Imation 43836 comes pre-labeled and initialized for easy organization. The Imation 43836 enterprise tape cartridge has a native capacity which ranges from 10 GB to 30 GB depending on the 3590 drive it is used with. Similarly, its compressed capacity also varies depending on the tape drive it is used with; ranging from 30 GB to 90 GB. With a PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) tape formulation, the Imation 43836 is built to last and is durable for 400 full passes or 120,000 read-forward passes. The Imation 43836 features Imation’s patented FlashGard Weld which prevents debris from sonic welding. The FlashGard Weld also adds ruggedness to the cartridge shell along with its design thereby ensuring that even if an Imation 43836 cartridge is dropped from a height of up to 1 meter it can be still be used once to recover data.
