Not only is the 40868 a WORM tape cartridge but it uses Volsafe technology which not only complies with regulations but also allows one to use WORM tape cartridges without having to purchase any additional equipment. The 40868 has a native capacity of 40 GB and 30 MB/s native transfer rate when used with T9840C tape drives. The Imation 40868 tape cartridge varies in only one aspect from the 40867 tape media which is that the 40868 comes with coloured bar code labels and also features initialization options.
