The IBM SDLT 35L1119 is an SDLT tape and more specifically an SDLT-1 tape. Like all other SDLT-1 tape media the IBM 35L1119 also has a native capacity of 160 GB and 320 GB for compressed data. The IBM 35L1119 tape cartridge has been fully certified as an SDLT-1 tape cartridge and can be used without apprehension in any SDLT 220 or SDLT 320 tape drive in full read and write mode. Compatibility for the 35L1119 also extends to SDLT 600 tape cartridges but is limited to read mode. Although IBM deals more with enterprise level solutions its products for home use (such as the 35L1119) are also of the highest quality. SDLT tape format is one of the fastest tape formats available in terms of transfer rate as can be seen from the native (16 MB/s) and compressed (32 MB/s) transfer rates of the IBM 35L1119 SDLT-1 tape media. |
