This Fuji 26046172 DDS-5 (DAT72) tape cartridge has a tape length of 170 meters and can store 36 GB of uncompressed data and 72 GB of compressed data. The 26046172 tapes feature the MRS (Media Recognition System) which allows the tape drive to recognize the tape format thus providing for greater reliability and compatibility. The Advanced Super Thin Layer and High Output Metal Media (ATOMM) technology employed in these 26046172 tape media results in extremely low self-demagnetization, dramatically increased high frequency output and significantly higher recording density. These 26046172 DDS5 (DAT72) tapes (26046172) allow transfer rates of up to 3 MB/s. Another key feature is SDR (Super Durability and Runnability) back-coating that ensures a very low friction coefficient, assuring smooth transport even with the complex transport modes and mechanisms of these systems.
