The Maxell 183906 is an LTO-4 tape. The 183906 has an 800 GB native capacity and 1.6 TB of compressed capacity. The transfer rates applicable for the Maxell 183906 LTO-4 Ultrium tape are 120 MB/s native and 240 MB/s compressed (assuming full use of the 2:1 compression). The Maxell 183906 also has new features previously unavailable in LTO tapes like 256-bit encryption. Also, the magnetic tape layer in the Maxell 183906 tape is protected by new ultra-fine ceramic armored particle which ensures that your data is stored reliably. The 183906 exhibits a new cartridge design by Maxell that has greater endurance and durability thus providing better protection to your valuable data from shocks, bumps, etc from day-to-day handling as well as shipping.
