The Sun LTO-3 003-0512-01 tape cartridge has a 400 GB native and 800 GB compressed capacity. Transfer rates for the Sun 003-0512-01 range from 80 MB/s native to 160 MB/s compressed. The 003-0512-01 LTO-3 tape is compatible with LTO-3 and LTO-4 tape drives and autoloaders. It (the Sun 003-0512-01) is however not compatible with LTO-1 and LTO-2 tape drives. LTO tapes (the 003-0512-01 included) feature the LTO-CM (Linear Tape Open – Cartridge Memory) that allows for storage of usage and error history etc for the tape.
